The following itinerary is provided as an example for what to expect of your day to day during the Cocoa Masterclass experience in Ghana. Certain aspects of the itinerary are subject to change.
Sunday, June 23
Upon our arrival, we will be transferred from the airport to the Lancaster Hotel. After checking in, we'll enjoy a Meet & Greet session, followed by dinner at the hotel.
Monday, June 24
Our day will begin with departure from the hotel for the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG). There, we'll engage in modules covering botany, lab tours, history, and enjoy lunch on-site. Later, we'll depart for Rock City for additional activities and dinner.
Tuesday, June 25
We'll depart from the hotel for activities at TMC, including modules on plant management, a farm walk, fermentation demonstration, lunch with the community, and exploration of local traditions. Afterwards, we'll return to Rock City for a module on markets.
Wednesday, June 26
The day will start with a departure for the CRIG Clubhouse, where we'll participate in modules on post-harvest processing, quality, and a quality lab tour. After returning to the hotel, we'll depart for dinner and dance at Afrikiko.
Thursday, June 27
We'll depart for the Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) for modules on governance and sustainability. Upon return to the hotel, we'll have modules on world production and markets.
Friday, June 28
Our day will feature modules on conservation, followed by departure for a tour of Tema Port.
Saturday, June 29
Activities will include a module on semi-finished products, followed by a visit to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and the artisan market. The day will conclude with a review session on markets, supply chain, and governance.
Sunday, June 30
In the morning, we'll participate in an examination session, followed by brunch at Labadi Beach.
Monday, July 1
We'll be transferred to the airport for departure.
